Battles are commonplace among all the people of Ori, Benders or not. It is almost a rite of passage for men and women to show their skills to competitors.
In the battles that occur here in ED there will be four attacks of each fighter and one dodge. I hope everyone already understands the fundamentals of RP fighting: no godmoding, no powerplaying, be descriptive. If the fight is one whose outcome affects a victory of some kind, like a fight over a place to sleep or a general feeling of winning, an impartial staffy will judge it based on quality of posts. In battles that are just practice or spars, there is no winner that receives a prize.
No killing unless given permission by the owner of the character. No matter what. You do not have a right to control another person's character.
People may organize public battles in the nations if they want (for example, an Agni Kai or a tournament). Post ideas for this in the appropriate plot board.
Yes, ranks do affect the outcome a little. Novices who challenge an Instructor for, say, leadership of a nation, will have a lesser chance of winning than a Graduate, but again, it is mainly quality of post that is the real criteria.
Re'a reserves the right to change this as she sees fit.
